Eco Expo Asia 2017, which takes place Oct. 26-29 in Hong Kong, says the event this year will include the debut of group participation from the German region of Bavaria. The state in southeastern Germany will showcase its environmental credentials with displays from several companies.
Organized by Bayern International, the Bavarian Bureau for International Business Relations, the group participation will feature exhibitors including: Huy Trading GmbH; flood and stormwater systems providers Blobel Umwelttechnik and IBS Technics; and wastewater treatment systems supplier Jaeger Umwelt-Technik.
“Eco Expo Asia presents a wide range of products in the environmental sector and it is an exciting prospect for our Bavarian companies to attend the trade show,” says Maria Schmid, the manager of trade fairs and exhibitions at Bayern International. “Hong Kong is an interesting market and offers many opportunities for companies to establish contacts,” she adds.
Returning to Eco Expo Asia will be displays organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Exhibitors from different European countries, including Finland and Germany, “will demonstrate the strength and breadth of European know-how when it comes to environmental concepts,” says Messe Frankfurt, one of the organizers of the event.
For the first time at Eco Expo Asia, a Startup Zone dedicated to green technologies will be included. “The Startup Zone is an ideal platform for new ventures to find potential investors, buyers and manufacturers,” says Benjamin Chau, deputy executive director of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC). “We welcome participation from young entrepreneurs and startups from around the globe to take advantage of the Expo and present their innovative products and solutions.”
The event also will feature seminars and presentations, with the focus of the programming on Friday, Oct. 27 being solid waste and water management.
