Earthwise Disposal, a newly formed hauler of recyclables and solid waste in Central Iowa, has named Ashley Sloterdyk to the post of vice president of sales. Sloterdyk also is the company’s business owner and manager.
“Mr. Sloterdyk is a great addition to our team,” says Todd Mendenhall, co-owner of Earthwise Disposal, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. “His 30 years of experience in transportation and sales perfectly fits the needs of Earthwise Disposal at this time.”
Sloterdyk was most recently the owner of Automatic Doors of Iowa, where he served the construction industry and retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Petco, Petsmart, Lowes and Wal-Mart.
“These first six months for Earthwise Disposal have been a period of incredible growth,” says Mick Barry, co-owner of Earthwise Disposal. “As the area’s fastest growing disposal company, we are now ready and able to accept more business.”
Earthwise Disposal offers comprehensive waste stream management, including document destruction, recycling, organic and food waste composting and solid waste management.
The company says it initial focus will be the residential and commercial roll-off business within the Des Moines metropolitan area. In addition, sales and marketing efforts will focus on building a commercial front load waste and recycling route.
