The manufacturing firm Eagle International, Dakota Dunes, S.D., has introduced the OTR Debeader, designed to allow tire recyclers the ability to pull the steel bead bundle from radial tires found in off-the-road (OTR) applications.
The company says it has spent a significant amount of time listening to suggestions from its customers. Toward this end the OTR Debeader is designed for tire recyclers as a way to effectively pull the bead bundles from OTR tires used in mining applications. The recovered steel can potentially add to the tire recycler’s revenue stream.
The company says the new debeader has been engineered to complete this specific task and is the only machine in the world capable of pulling the bead bundles from all sizes of radial OTR tires. With Eagle International’s new debeader tires are lifted onto the machine and are completely contained for safety, the company says.
Eagle says that with the machine recyclers have been able to pull tire sizes from 20.5/25s through the 59.80R63s.
