The state of New York’s Empire State Development Agency is awarding a grant of $500,000 to WeRecycle. The money will be used to open a new e-scrap recycling facility in Mount Vernon, NY. The Westchester County Industrial Development Agency yesterday agreed to serve as an intermediary for the grant.
The grant would be used to buy shredding and separation equipment. At least 2,600 tons of material would be processed each year, generating sales revenue of $572,000.
