A new plant dedicated to the recycling of electronic scrap and nonferrous metals has opened in Santiago, that nation’s capital.
Recycla Chile S.A. recently held a grand opening ceremony that was attended by Luisa Duran de Lagos, wife of the president of Chile.
Recycla Chile S.A. CEO Fernando Nilo helped the visiting dignitary cut a ceremonial ribbon to commemorate the plant’s opening.
According to Nilo, the plant is the first such electronic scrap recycling facility in the nation of nearly 16 million people.
The company has also signed an agreement with Canada’s Maxus Technologies, Calgary, Alberta, to work as joint venture partners in the recycling of electronic scrap.
