E-Cycle LLC to Exhibit at Macworld

Mobile phone recycler to offer on-site recycling option.

E-Cycle LLC, based in Hilliard, Ohio, has announced that it is hosting a booth at the Macworld Expo Jan. 27-29 in San Francisco. The company says it will offer attendees the opportunity to sell their used iPhones while ensuring their private data is not compromised. E-Cycle iPhone buyback representatives will assess the value of each iPhone (including damaged devices) and write checks for the market value amount, the company says in a press release. Data security experts will provide same-day data deletion for each iPhone the company purchases. The company will be at booth No. 651.

“We estimate that there are approximately 9 million iPhones retired for newer devices each year, and we expect that number to grow considerably within the next two years,” says Chris Irion, president and CEO of e-Cycle. “Of the estimated 140 million mobile phones discarded in the U.S., only about 10 percent are recycled. But nearly 50 percent of these devices still have a resale value. E-Cycle hopes to spread the ‘re-use and recycle’ message to Macworld attendees. Selling used iPhones is good for your bank account and great for the environment,” he adds.

E-Cyclerecently launched a consumer division solely dedicated to purchasing used iPhones and iPadsthrough an online iPhone buyback tool available on the company’s website, www.e-cycle.com.
