Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations to host webinar

Company to talk about the perils of improper e-scrap and data management.

Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, Onalaska, Wisconsin, will host a free webinar March 6 at noon Eastern time (9 a.m. Pacific) titled Risky or Responsible? Understanding and Avoiding the Perils of Improper e-Waste and Data Management.

According to the information technology asset disposition (ITAD) firm, “When it comes to the disposal of unwanted electronics and materials, most business, organizations and individuals want to do the right thing. Yet, almost on a daily basis, the news media contain reports of illegal e-waste disposal or export. Millions of tons of e-waste end up in landfills or are shipped to developing countries every year, posing a huge threat to health and the environment. Sensitive consumer data is also at risk when retired devices are improperly handled.”

The company says outsourcing this task may not reduce a company’s risks or liability. “If your vendor is more interested in profits than adhering to ethical practices and regulatory requirements, you can inadvertently expose your organization to an array of negative consequences, including substantial fines, lawsuits, a tarnished reputation, and the loss of customers, sales and revenues.”

Jason Schott, vice president, recycling and recovery, Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations is the presenter for the webinar. In his role, Schott has provided divisional and sales leadership at Dynamic for nearly six years. He has extensive experience in leading Dynamic’s sales, operations, legislative compliance, logistics, materials recovery and recycling teams. Schott is a member of various environmental and recycling industry organizations, including serving on the board of directors for the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW). Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. More details are available on his LinkedIn page at www.linkedin.com/in/Jason-schott-859545120.

Topics for discussion during the webinar include the risks of improper e-scrap and data management; benchmarks to evaluate potential vendors or to review the performance of your current vendor; opportunities to realize value and boost ROI from your vendor.

Webinar attendees will receive a copy of the white paper, “Risky or Responsible? Understanding and Avoiding the Perils of Improper e-Waste and Data Management.”
