DS Smith, a London-based packaging company has announced that Jochen Behr has joined the management team of DS Smith Recycling as the head of recycling. He will report to Colin McIntyre, CEO of DS Smith Paper and Recycling.
Behr most recently worked with CHEP Europe, a logistics solutions company, as head of European/Global Key Accounts and Strategy. He also held the position of country general manager – Central and Easter Europe, where he had specific responsibility for defining the strategic plan for growth of those regions.
He replaces James Malone, who has worked for DS Smith Recycling for 18 years.
DS Smith has a presence in 36 countries and employs around 26,000 people. DS Smith’s recycling division operates from 10 of its own recycling facilities in the U.K. The company also operates recycling businesses in France, Italy, Germany, the Benelux countries, Poland, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia.
