The Antonacci Family Foundation capped off a week of donations with $125,000 to the Connecticut Food Bank. In total, the foundation has donated more than $500,000 to feed people in need in the area.
The Antonacci family owns and operates several companies in western Massachusetts and Connecticut, including USA Waste & Recycling, Enfield, Connecticut, as well as GreatHorse, Lindy Farms and Sonny’s Place.
To share the most recent donation, Frank Antonacci presented a check to several lawmakers in the area, including Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Waterbury Mayor Neil O’Leary, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Torrington Mayor Elinor Carbone.
“Our family is deeply committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work,” COO of USA Hauling and Recycling and All American Waste Antonacci says.“When we saw the toll this pandemic was taking on our neighbors, friends and co-workers, we knew we had to act. With more and more people from all walks of life struggling with food insecurity due to COVID-19, it has never been more important to support Connecticut Food Bank,”
