The Doe Run Co. has named Aaron Miller vice president of environmental affairs. In his new position, Miller will support the company’s environmental sustainability. He will serve as a member of the executive team and will provide oversight to divisional work at Doe Run’s lead mining, milling, smelting and recycling facilities.
“Throughout his career, Aaron has demonstrated his passion for challenging himself and the organization toward continuous improvement,” says Bruce Neil, Doe Run’s president and CEO. “The programs he has helped implement are critical to ensuring we remain a viable business now and in the future.”
Previously, Miller was the company’s environmental management coordinator where he collaborated with company managers and executives to develop the Environmental Task Management System. The system helps Doe Run fulfill roughly 6,000 specific requirements monthly in Missouri and tracks overall environmental performance. Miller also managed the company’s stewardship program rollout, working closely with managers to develop training materials to support the company’s larger environmental commitments.
