Dixie Metal Recycling announced that it celebrated the grand opening of its new location in the Fort Pierce Industrial Park in St. George, Utah. Dixie Metal is a sister company to Utah Metal Works. The new facility is a relocation from the company’s previous site, also in St. George.
The new facility is 7,500 square feet. It will handle nonferrous metals, and has balers, strip wires and other equipment needed to process nonferrous metals.
The move gives the company more space to perform processing of metals. In a local press report, Don Lewon, co-owner of the business, noted that the former location was not conducive to the company’s business, and that relocating to an industrial park makes better sense for the company.
