Digital West, BCS Offer Recycling Program to National Retail Chains

Two tech companies band together to make collecting electronic scrap easier.

Joseph Naughton, chairman of Go Online Networks, announced that its computer service division Digital West Marketing Inc. has reached a marketing alliance agreement with BCS, Inc. to offer a consumer electronics recycling program to manufacturers, retailers, distributors and warranty providers. A variety of electronic related products including cell phones, batteries and computer ink cartridges will be included in this program.

BCS, Inc., headquartered in Chatsworth, Calif., is a recycling, refurbishing and remanufacturing company for electronic goods..

The two companies have been working together over the last several months on jointly selling inventory in the remanufactured ink cartridge and the refurbished computer printer arenas.

Management at BCS, Inc. have developed a kiosk-based program where consumers can drop off discarded consumer electronics products at the entry way of the retail establishment. The retailer will benefit by publicizing the environmentally-friendly policy resulting in increased traffic and the retailer will also receive cash compensation for each product returned.
