Dietrich Metal Framing, a Columbus, Ohio-based Worthington Industries company, has announced its joint agreement with United States Gypsum Co., a subsidiary of the Chicago-based USG Corp.
According to a release from Worthington Industries, the two companies will collaborate on the design of building framing systems and products.
“We will work together to develop new products and test building and construction systems,” says Ed Ponko, president of Dietrich Metal Framing. “As a result of this agreement, we will be able to help the industry write specifications for cold-formed steel systems, specifically through our system’s approach to fire, sound and structural testing.”
Ponko says work will begin immediately on designing, developing and testing construction systems that blend existing products from Dietrich and USG.
