The Wayne County (Mich.) Airport Authority and Delta Air Lines have expanded their recycling efforts at the Detroit Airport with the introduction of a new public recycling program at the airport.
Starting this July, travelers who pass through the airport’s McNamara Terminal will find that the airport's trash cans have been augmented by new, divided waste bins to collect recyclable plastic bottles, metal cans and paper separate from other solid waste.
The Airport Authority and Delta have placed 19 bins throughout the terminal concourses. Additional recycling bins may be added based upon customer participation.
