An event organizer based in the Czech Republic is offering its “4th Annual Decommissioning & Demolition Forum: Fossil Fuel Power Plants” event in mid-March 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The TBM Group says the forum will be March 16-18, 2018, in Lisbon.
TBM Group indicates the forum will feature “a limited number of sponsors and vendors, speakers, topics and a maximum of 50 participants” as a way to “guarantee a business environment that encourages going deeper into the topics and [that] provides networking opportunities, prioritizing quality over quantity to create an overall more valuable experience for attendees.”
Topics covered at the forum, according to TBM, will include:
- learning about new EU regulations affecting future asset retirements in the energy sector;
- how to prioritize health, safety and environment in decommissioning projects;
- approaching decommissioning project planning and procurement; and
- understand state-of-the-art techniques for demolition and dismantling.
Speakers from several contracting and engineering firms have been lined up to provide presentations and case studies, according to the organizer.
More information about programming, pricing and registration for the March 2018 event can be found on this web page.
