Representatives from Dell Inc. and the National Recycling Coalition will be hosting a roundtable discussion Aug. 30 during the NRC Congress to discuss the challenge of managing the nation’s electronic waste stream. The discussion will focus on the critical role of community collection events and public-private partnerships in addressing this challenge.
Additionally, Dell will announce the 20 U.S. communities selected to receive a series of $10,000 grants for no-charge computer recycling events in the fall of 2004. Dell and NRC representatives will address their public-private partnership, which allows for grant recipients to receive technical assistance to aid in the success of their collection event.
Several recipients of Dell’s recycling grants will also be present for the discussion.
