The first stop on a five-city Dell Recycling National Tour, in Nashville, Tenn., resulted in the collection of more than 42 tons of unwanted technology equipment. The collected amount tripled the collection goal for Nashville.
The program runs through April 27, and aims to collect 100 tons of unwanted computer and electronics equipment to be recycled or donated to local charities.
Other cities that are a part of the national Dell campaign include Columbus, Ohio; Charlotte, N.C.; Portland, Ore.; and Austin and Round Rock, Tex.
