Dell announced that is lowering its cost of recycling and delivering easy-to-use services for businesses and consumers.
Underscoring its commitment to make recycling easy and affordable, Dell is announcing a special offer for business customers. For a limited time, Dell will refurbish or re-cycle an unlimited number of old computer systems with no upfront cost provided the technology meets certain specifications. Dell's Asset Recovery Services will remove customers' old hardware and refurbish or recycle it consistent with environmental guidelines.
Dell also announced that is has reduced the price of computer recycling for any consumer from $15 to $10. Additionally, Dell continues to offer recycling to consumers who purchase new desktop or notebook computers or printers for no charge. Dell's global donation partner, the National Cristina Foundation, continues to offer any U.S. consumer a no charge donation program for used computers.
As part of Dell's commitment to be an environmentally responsible market leader, the Dell Asset Recovery Service has received ISO 14001 certification from National Standards Authority of Ireland. The certification demonstrates that Dell has in place continual process improvement programs around its product recovery operations and that these practices are investigated by external audits.
