The Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) has been collecting electronics for recycling and reuse since July of 2002. According to an item in the NERC (Northeast Recycling Council) Bulletin for November, the state has established seven collection locations as of this year, having collected 6 million pounds of electronics.
The NERC Bulletin quotes Rich Von Stetten, DSWA recycling manager, as saying, “The program could not be successful without the dedication of our employees and participants. Both go the extra mile to ensure these electronic goods are recycled.” He also tells NERC, “I’m very happy with the response of Delaware residents and impressed with the number of communities and businesses participating.”
