Maine lawmakers have rejected a proposed moratorium on the burning of construction and demolition debris, according to a report in the Portland Press Herald (Portland, Maine).
However, the state House of Representatives has given initial approval to a bill that would limit the amount of wood from C&D debris that could be used as biomass fuel to 50 percent per year, according to the report.
The bill faces further votes in the House and Senate.
