Back Thru the Future Computer Recycling, an electronics recycling firm based in Ogdensburg, NJ, has inked a partnership arrangement with Dunbar Global Logistics to transport hard drives from throughout the nation to the New Jersey recycler.
Dunbar, which has been in business since 1923, got its start as an armored car company. Since then the company has grown to include six different division, including the Global Logistics division.
Mike West with Dunbar, says that the company has been handling various types of confidential information over the past several years as the need for secure handling of the information gains in importance. "It is just another tool in our tool box," he says in regards to transporting hard drives. "My group has been transporting valuable materials using our network of truck and air transportation, West notes.
The two companies are expected to make an official announcement before the end of this month.
West notes that with the global reach of Dunbar, the arrangement will allow for hard drives to be transported from anywhere in the country to the New Jersey plant for proper destruction.
West also says that the deal to transport hard drives will be exclusive with Back Thru the Future.
