Recycling equipment manufacturer Danieli Henschel and recycling company Sita Vignier, both of France, invited around 20 French recycling and waste handlers to Sita's yard in Chambery for a demonstration of the new Danieli Henschel Compact 800 shears. Danieli Henschel is a division of Danieli Centro Recycling based in Italy.
The Compact 800 is a horizontally operating machine with an 800-metric-ton shearing capacity. Equally adapted to light, mid-weight or heavy scrap metal, the machine offers productivity of between 3 metric tons and 5 metric tons per hour, the manufacturer says.
Like the other equipment in the Danieli Henschel range, the Compact 800 shears are powerfully designed and equipped with top-range components: Deutz thermal engine (140 metric horsepwer) and a Parker pump.
Its compact single-piece design, its dimensions (6.25 x 2.45 meters) and its mass (24 metric tons) make it a machine that is easy to transport from one construction site to another, Danieli says.
Additional equipment features include:
- Basic machine adapted to sites working with moderate tonnages
- Stepped presser precompresses and densifies scrap metal
- Processing of nonferrous metals (aluminum sections)
- Automatic indexing of the shearing capacity to optimise cycle time
