Dallas Contracting Co. Inc., a South Plainfield, N.J.-based specialty contractor, has completed the demolition of a tank farm in Central New Jersey.
The company, which provides demolition, onsite concrete crushing and equipment salvage, dismantled and removed 11 steel, aboveground storage tanks (both vertical and horizontal) and all related steel piping and valves. The tanks had been pre-cleaned by the owner, and all asbestos containing materials had also been abated.
From the site, the steel tanks were sent directly to a scrap recycling facility. Once all tanks were removed, the remaining piping and valves were demolished and the steel was also sent to the scrap recycling yard.
