D6 Inc., a vertically integrated plastics recycler and food-grade packaging producer based in Sulphur Springs, Texas, recently announced the acquisition of the Richmond, Illinois, extrusion facility previously operated by Good Natured Products and other “related entities.”
D6 says the all-cash transaction expands its domestic manufacturing footprint and accelerates the company’s strategic investment in its closed-loop operating model. The facility spans approximately 75,000 square feet and is fully operational, with all employees expected to transition to D6 at closing.

The company says the site adds more than 40 million pounds of annual extrusion capacity and is designed to run a significant portion of the clean washed flake produced through D6’s Omni Recycling Center in Longview, Texas. D6 says integrating this capacity with its recycling operations strengthens continuity across the platform, enhancing control of the value chain and enabling “seamless conversion” from reclaimed feedstock to finished product.
“This acquisition reinforces the closed-loop platform we’ve been building for the past decade,” D6 Chief Financial Officer Louis Dominion says. “By expanding our extrusion capacity and pairing it with our internal recycling capabilities, we’re strengthening control from shelf to bale and back to shelf. Most importantly, it gives our customers greater surety and supports their growing need for reliable, high-quality food-grade PCR [postconsumer recycled] packaging.”
According to D6, the transaction marks another milestone in its multiyear buildout of its domestic circular infrastructure. The company claims that with recycling, extrusion and thermoforming capabilities unified under one platform, it can provide national retailers, value-added food processors and consumer brands a dependable source of sustainable packaging solutions at scale.
“The addition of the Richmond facility strengthens operational resilience, increases material security and accelerates D6’s capacity expansion initiatives to support long-term customer demand,” the company says.
