Cyclyx International LLC, a plastic recycling joint venture of Oregon-based Agilyx and Houston-based ExxonMobil and LyondellBasell, recently announced it has supplied more than 60 million pounds of postuse plastics as feedstock for advanced recycling.
“We’re proud of the team and the role they’ve played in achieving this milestone,” Cyclyx Chief Operating Officer Walter Sopp says. “We’ve proven we can handle a broad range of plastic waste, including mixed polymer streams that would otherwise be incinerated or landfilled.”

Cyclyx says its approach combines data-driven sourcing, customized feedstock and strategic partnerships with recyclers and municipalities. Using proprietary technology and advanced sorting capabilities, the company says it is able to analyze, blend and custom formulate feedstock to meet customer specifications for ISCC Plus certified products.
“Every pound of plastic we divert is an example of how we can efficiently manage materials traditional systems can’t process,” Sopp says.
With just over 60 million pounds already processed, The Woodlands, Texas-based Cyclyx says it is setting sights on even more ambitious goals and has continued to expand its reach as it attempts to increase the volume and variety of plastics it can divert and repurpose.
Earlier this year, the company announced that all major civil and structural work on its Cyclyx Circularity Center in Houston had been completed. Once operational, the facility will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom-formulated feedstock per year.
Cyclyx also plans to build a second facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. After full commissioning, the two Circularity Centers will have the capacity to produce 600 million pounds of feedstock per year for recycling applications.
