Crushed Concrete Bound for Missouri Roads

Recycled material to be used to maintain 400 miles of road in Saline County, Mo.

B&P Excavating of Sedalia, Mo., has been crushing concrete for use on road projects in Saline County, Mo., according to a report in the Marshall Democrat-News (Marshall, Mo.).

The excess concrete comes from a CoreSlab’s pre-stressed concrete facility in Marshall, Mo. It will be used to help maintain more than 400 miles of road in the county, according to the report.

Saline County has received $16,500 in recycling grant money from the regional solid waste district for the projects. The crushed concrete will be recycled and used to rebuild road surfaces in low-graded areas, according to the report.
