Chinese Scrap Industry to Gather in Foshan in May

CRRA announces preliminary program for May 13-14 event in Foshan.

The China National Resource Recycling Association (CRRA) is hosting the 6th annual China International Recycling Conference and Exhibition. There are two forums that comprise event, according to the CRRA. The Metal Forum will take place May 12-14 in Foshan, Guangdong province and the Plastics Forum will be May 14-16 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

“Hundreds of companies from all over the world attend each year,” says the CRRA. The group states that the two forums offer trading and networking opportunities and “information which relates to technological advancements and current trends in international recycling.”

The schedule for the Metal Forum includes sessions on May 13, titled “Prevention and Solution of International Metal Scrap Trade Disputes,” “Interpretation of the Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS)” and “Trend Analysis of Global Aluminium Scrap.”

Sessions to be covered during the second half of May 13 include a focus on ferrous scrap, including a “China Scrap Steel Market Analysis for 2010 and Outlook for 2011,” an “Interpretation of the 12th Five-Year Plan for the Scrap Steel Industry,” and “The Adjusting of the Steel & Iron Industrial Structure and Demand of the Scrap Steel Market.”

On May 14, Nonferrous scrap programming will address topics to include an “Analysis of the 2011 Copper Scrap Market,” “The Prospect of Metal Scrap Recycling in End-of-life Automobiles,” and an “Analysis of the 2011 Futures Market of Copper and Aluminium.”
