Cronimet BV, Moerdijk, the Dutch offices of Germany-based Cronimet Group, has announced that after many years of services John Slotboom has retired from the company’s management board. Slotboom will continue to be associated with the Cronimet Group in various business activities and will continue to serve as a member of the company’s supervisory board.
Due to this change, Thorsten Groening and Ruurd Werner have been appointed as managing directors. Both have been with Cronimet for a number of years. The company says it expects that their experience will be an asset for the future development of Cronimet’s Dutch operations.
Additionally, Cronimet BV, Moerdijk announced that Olaf Joeckel will also join the company as a managing director, effective June 1, 2010. The addition will complete the management staff for the company’s Moerdijk office.
Cronimet also announced that its Cronimet Belgium NV, Zutendaal/Genk office in Belgium, has added Michael Sutter to its management board. He will be the head of purchasing and trading for the office. Sutter joined Cronimet in Karlsruhe/Germany in 2002 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility within the stainless steel department.
With these changes Cronimet says it strengthens the team in Benelux and will continue to develop the yard in Moerdijk as the main European export hub.
Cronimet, founded in 1980, has 50 locations throughout the world. The company focuses on supplying the raw material for the industrial production of stainless steel.
