Cronimet will be hosting an open house to celebrate the opening of its newest recycling facility in Baoshan/Shanghai, China on April 23.
Cronimet Shanghai Co. Ltd. is located on roughly 55,000 square meters, including more than 25,000 square meters of warehouse space, making it one of the largest warehouses of its type in Asia. The facility will include sophisticated equipment that will guarantee immediate unloading, testing, processing and analyzing. The company also says that facility will conduct all the processing indoors.
The company will be in a position to accept all types of secondary materials, including such alloys as chrome, nickel, molybdenum, cobalt, vanadium and titanium as well. The containers can also be delivered with combinations of different metal types.
While the facility will focus on growing its stainless operations at first, the company plans on expanding the business to handle higher-end alloys, especially those with aviation applications.
Five years ago, Cronimet established a sales agency in Shanghai to expand the business between Europe/USA and Asia. In 2006, Cronimet, along with Bright Vision, its Hong Kong partner, formed Cronimet Shanghai Co. Ltd. as a wholly foreign owned enterprise to further improve the services to the suppliers and customers.
