
Cronimet Poland, headquartered in Onowroclaw, Poland, has announced plans to open a new facility at the port of Szczecin, Poland. The new site will be used to purchase, process and trade alloyed scrap, primarily stainless steel scrap.
Cronimet Poland expects the start-up of the new plant by the second half of 2012. The company says that construction will begin as soon as technical, technological and economic requirements are clarified.
According to a Cronimet release, the Polish group has signed the declaration of intent with the management of the ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie, Poland.
“We can extend the division trading and recycling in Poland with the establishment at the new location and invest in the regional markets,” says Michael Vogel, an executive on the board of Cronimet Poland. Vogel adds that the new location will guarantee the company a better supply for its customers.
Cronimet Poland Sp. z.o.o. is a part of the Cronimet Group, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany. Cronimet specializes in stainless steel scrap, ferroalloys and primary metals. The company has more than 50 locations throughout the world.
