The Cronimet Envirotec GmbH business unit of Karlsruhe, Germany-based Cronimet Holding GmbH has been named the “Resource Efficiency” award winner at the Environmental Alliance Saxony-Anhalt 2018 event held in late November in Germany.
Cronimet Envirotec operates a recycling plant for metal-containing sludges and powders at its site in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany. Cronimet says the Envirotec process is “innovative and sustainable technology [that] has established itself on the market and convinced numerous customers from industries such as toolmaking, foundries and automotive suppliers” to rely on it.
At the late November 2018 Environmental Alliance Saxony-Anhalt 2018 event, which is held every two years, entrants compete for awards designed to honor “outstanding entrepreneurial achievements in the field of resource efficiency and sustainability,” according to Cronimet.
A jury evaluated 40 applications on the basis of their economic effectiveness, resource efficiency, the positive effect on the environment and climate, and their innovative strength, with Cronimet Envirotec emerging victorious in the Resource Efficiency category.
The Saxony-Anhalt award joins other sustainability-related honors earned by Cronimet Envirotec, which has been nominated and earned honors in other competitions.
