Crivellaro Brazil Opens New Branch Location

Industrial recycler offers removal, separation and processing of cardboard, plastic, glass, metals and organic waste.

Industrial recycling company Crivellaro Brazil, based in Valinhos, São Paulo, has opened a new branch, adding 45,000 square meters of workspace. With the addition of the second facility, the company has increased its capacity for receiving, storing and recycling to 58,000 square meters.

“The Brazilian market for the provision of waste management is on the rise,” says Juliana Crivellaro, human resources manager of the company. “Today, the environmental concern is much greater than when the company was founded. The industries are constantly pressured by regulators and by the consumers, to the correct and responsible disposal of their waste. Thus, the services provided by Crivellaro are increasingly in demand.”

The family-owned company was founded in 1957. The company presently has 230 employees.

Services include removal, separation, classification and characterization of paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and various metals. The company also processes organic waste and specializes in the destruction of products unfit for consumption. As such it has built a new unit that is focused on this service with equipment designed to ensure compliance of the law and offer optimal security against environmental impacts, Crivellaro said.

The recycler says it was the first in Brazil to achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification. The company processes about 30,000 metric tons of materials per year and manages waste generated locally by such companies such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Robert Bosch, Perfetti Van Melle, Nivea, Avon, Sara Lee, Hypermarcas, AGCO, John Deere and Coca-Cola.
