The Container Recycling Institute (CRI), Arlington, Va., has announced the release of the third edition of its "The 10¢ Incentive to Recycle" report
CRI has distributed hundreds of copies of this bottle bill primer since 1995. The third edition has been completely revised and updated to reflect the most current data available on beverage container deposit systems. “This often requested report sets the record straight on the environmental and economic impacts of bottle bills and uses documented evidence to rebut the arguments made by the anti-deposit beverage and retail industry lobbies,” according to a press release from CRI.
“With informative text and loads of charts, graphs and tables, this 22-page report is a concise compendium of valuable information for activists, policymakers, solid waste and recycling professionals, researchers, recycling businesses and anyone interested in learning more about bottle bills from an unbiased source,” the release states.
The “10¢ Incentive to Recycle” is available as a free download at http://www.container-recycling.org/publications/orderform.htm#tci. Hard copies can also be ordered for $15 using an order for available on-line.
