“The acquisition adds a strong facility located in a strategic area to the CRG family,” says Marvin Siegel, president of CRG. Key Columbia Steel employees will remain with the facility to help provide a seamless transition, Siegel adds.
CRG operates 10 other scrap metal processing facilities in the Carolinas and Georgia. It is one of the largest metal recycling companies in the Southeast with annual shipments of more than 650,000 tons of ferrous scrap and 100 million pounds of nonferrous scrap.
