Cresswood, Cortland, Illinois, has introduced the XR-2400 pallet grinder, the largest grinder the company has ever manufactured. This machine, which offers low-speed, high torque grinding, is designed for mulch manufacturers, pellet producers and biofuel businesses that require high throughput capabilities. It can be installed indoors because it produces less noise and dust that similar machines, the company says, and offers lower energy costs when compared with other technologies.
The XR-2400 features:
- hydraulic drop-down screen carriages to provide safe and easy access to the cutter head;
- an oversized ram to more effectively present material to the cutter head;
- an oversized gearbox;
- replaceable anvils and anvil support plates;
- replaceable wear seals on the cutter head; and
- a replaceable bed plate.
The machine has a 30,000-pound shipping weight and includes a 1-inch steel plate frame.
