CPIA announces board of directors

Canadian plastics association also adds four new members to its board.

The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), Mississauga, Ontario, has announced its new board following the CPIA’s general meeting to elect directors and officers, held June 16, 2016.

Terry Elliott, president of Scepter Canada Inc., will remain chair of the board for 2016/2017. Sarah Marshall, leader of technical services for NOVA Chemicals, will return as the board’s vice chair; and Mark Lichtblau, vice president of Inteplast Bags and Films Corp., Haremar Plastic Manufacturing Division, returns as treasurer.

In addition, CPIA has added four new directors: Hugues Rouleau, IPL Inc.; Kevin McTavish, Drader Manufacturing; Leo Mayette, Cascades Flexible Packaging; and Tony Moucachen, Merlin Plastics/Van Waste Co.

The four new directors join the following members of CPIA’s board for 2016/2017: Jon Pyper, The Dow Chemical Co.; Laurie Borg, NexCycle Canada Inc.; Mark Badger, Urban Polymers; Rob Miller, Wittmann Canada; Sean Dennis, Trademark Plastics; Tim Bean, Imperial Oil, Chemicals Division; and Tyler Kilgannon, Clariant (Canada) Inc.

The CPIA represents the entire plastics value chain including resin and raw material suppliers, processors and converters, equipment and machinery manufacturers, recyclers and brand owners from across Canada and beyond.
