Cozzi Partners has acquired Glendale Iron & Metal, a Glendale, AZ-based scrap recycling facility. Glendale has been in operation for 40 years.
Cozzi, headquartered in Chicago, aims to grow their business with the acquisition of Glendale. In the 1990’s the principals of Cozzi Partners had earlier grown the Metal Management scrap recycling firm through acquisitions into one of the largest scrap recycling facilities in the country.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal the acquisition was announced on April 14th.
Glendale Iron & Metal will continue to operate under its existing name. Keith Kosier, a former owner and general manager of the yard, will reassume the general manager's role under the new ownership, the Journal reports. "Glendale Iron & Metal has developed a large base of loyal customers and dedicated, hard working and talented employees during its long history in business. We are looking forward to combining the operational and marketing skills of the Cozzi family to build on the foundation we have in place," said Kosier.
