The city of Lawrence, Kansas is in discussion on whether to approve a change in zoning to allow LRM Industries to relocate to another part of Douglas County, Kansas. The existing location has been acquired by the state, and the company is hoping to relocate to an 11-acre site in another part of the county.
Douglas County commissioners opted to postpone the hearing and vote until Dec. 22.
To allow the company to relocate the county commissioners will have to rezone the proposed new site, from agricultural to heavy industrial.Latest from Recycling Today
