Description: This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36; Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for the demolition and removal of buildings, pavements, grading and earthwork at the Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Key Largo, Florida.
Specifications and drawings are applicable in this project. The proposed contract is subject to full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.401. The Size Standard is $12 million. The NAICS code is 238910. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
The IFB will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Responses to the IFB shall not be issued electronically. Fax copies will not be accepted. Paper copies will be accepted by mail.

Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued, with a performance period of 60 days. The anticipated date for the issuance of solicitations is 07/11/03. The date and time for receipt of solicitation responses is 08/11/03 at 1:30 p.m. EST.
The anticipated date of award will be on or about 08/12/03. NOTE: Any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet to register at the CCR web site: http://www.ccr.gov.

Description: Demolition and removal of Building 328A (B328A) and Trailers 1478 (T1478), 2626 (T2626) and 2629 (T2629). The total estimated gross square feet (ft2) of these four structures is 18,617 ft2. California C21 and Asbestos Certification are required.
The University strongly encourages responses from small businesses, although large businesses may submit a response. The University may designate the resulting Request for Proposal (RFP) as a Total Small Business Set-Aside if it receives a sufficient number of qualified responses.
