The recycling firm Consolidated Scrap Resources Inc. (CSR), headquartered in York, Pa., has hired John Farrell as its new chief operating officer. In his position, Farrell will oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative matters for the recycling company. He also will be involved in long-term strategic planning, financial matters and capital budgeting for the firm.

Prior to joining CSR, Farrell spent 16 years at York Wallcoverings, most recently as the executive vice president from 2008-2013 and vice president of manufacturing from 2005-2008.

He has had great success in his career, leading innovative teams to improve productivity and develop new global markets for products," says Ben Abrams, CSR’s president. "He is a strategic thinker with infectious positive energy and natural leadership skills. We are all looking forward to working with him."
CSR operates six facilities in Pennsylvania. The company handles scrap metal, paper and plastics. Additionally, CSR offers customized scrap logistics management services to manufacturing plants and other industrial customers throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.
