Plastic packaging company Consolidated Container Co. (CCC), which acquired Envision Plastics LLC and Ecoplast Corp. in June 2014, has announced a reorganization of the two companies to ensure current and future growth expectations.
Under the new structure, Ecoplast, a Fontana, California-based supplier of recycled and custom compounded resins, will be repositioned under the Envision Plastics name.
Envision, with manufacturing plants in Reidsville, North Carolina, and Chino, California, recycles baled postconsumer HDPE (high-density polyethylene) containers into a range of recycled-content resins, including EcoPrime, the only food-contact-grade recycled HDPE resin approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to the company. Envision also produces PRISMA, a color-sorted resin, natural resin and mixed color utility grade resin.
Along with placing Ecoplast under the Envision name, CCC also has said that Jose Perez, a long-time Ecoplast sales and procurement executive, and Scott Booth, who led Envision and Ecoplast since the acquisition, have left the company.
Meanwhile, Mark Shafer, who recently joined CCC, has been named vice president and general manager for the newly combined Envision Plastics business.
Additionally, Tamsin Ettefagh, who previously served as Envision’s vice president of sales, has expanded her responsibilities to include the role of vice president of sales for Ecoplast’s product line.
Mylinda Jacobsen also has taken the responsibility of supplying and trading raw materials for Envision and Ecoplast products.
CCC says the changes will position Envision and Ecoplast to better service their existing and new customers with EcoPrime, PRISMA and various other postconsumer and postindustrial resins, as well as to better support the company’s innovation efforts as it develops new lines of injection grade, HDPE and polypropylene (PP) resin products.
CCC, headquartered in Atlanta, develops and manufactures rigid plastic packaging solutions. The company specializes in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions, serving a diverse customer base in the dairy, household chemicals, food, industrial/specialty chemicals, water and beverage/juice markets. CCC has 56 manufacturing facilities.
