The organizers of the 2015 Federation of New York Solid Waste Association Conference and Trade Show are requesting presentation abstracts and seeking exhibitors and sponsors for the event, which takes place May 3–6 in Bolton Landing, New York.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Sharon Kneiss, president and CEO of the Washington-based National Waste and Recycling Association, who will provide her perspectives on legislative and regulatory issues affecting the industry.
According to the federation, abstracts of up to 250 words will be accepted through Nov. 7, 2014, on any topic associated with solid waste, including waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, waste to energy (WTE) and landfilling operations.
Presentations are generally 20 minutes in length, followed by questions and answers. Abstracts of papers can be submitted through the conference website at www.nyfederation.org.
More information on submitting an abstract can be obtained from Luann Meyer at lmeyer@bartonandloguidice.com.
Information about exhibiting or sponsorships also can be found on the conference website or by contacting Matt Curley at show@nyfederation.org.
