Neighbors have raised questions and concerns over a concrete recycling facility being built at a transfer station in
The facility is being built to help raise the county’s 36 percent recycling rate to the state required 50 percent. Every three to six months, concrete collected at the site will be crushed for use as road fill for county roads, according to the report.
However, neighbors to the existing transfer station have expressed concerns over noise and dust. A public hearing on the matter is planned for the end of August.
