Glacier Computer, a leading developer of versatile and poweful industrial computer systems for harsh environments will showcase its 10-inch version of the GX series of rugged computers at ProMat 2005 in Chicago, Jan. 10-13, 2005.
The GX-1000 measures 10.1 inches wide by 8 inches high by 2.9 inches deep and houses a low-heat 800 MHz Via processor. It offers a bright 10-inch LCD screen and is designed for applications that where users require PC-compatible computing power but are limited by space. According to Glacier, the model is a fit for companies that are interested in forklift-mount applications but that are concernhed about their operators' lines of site.
Optional features on the GX include a 2.4 GHz wireless radio and a resistive touch screen.
