A Youngstown, Ohio-based company has applied for the fourth time to build a demolition debris landfill on the same property where the city of Girard, Ohio, has expressed interest in building a park, according to a report in the Youngstown Vindicator (Youngstown, Ohio).
Total Waste Logistics LLC originally applied for a license for the landfill from the city health department in June 2005, according to the report. The company is seeking to open a C&D landfill on the site along the Mahoning River.
