Multi-Plastics Inc., based in Lewis Center, Ohio, has introduced a new window film to the envelope market that is made from wood pulp.
EnviroSafe is a cellulose film made from wood pulp that is sourced from a managed forestry program that is certified by Bureau Veritas as part of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. According to a release from Multi-Plastics, EnviroSafe “shows Multi-Plastics commitment to the envelope industry by providing envelope manufacturers with the ability to be environmentally responsible without compromising produce performance, processability or aesthetic appearance.”
According to the company, EN 13432 accreditation for biodegradability and compostability is underway. The material can also be recycled without degradation, according to Multi-Plastics.
EnviroSafe is available in a matte .00112-inch thickness and a clear .00118- and .00138-inch thickness.
