Commercial Plastics Recycling Inc. (CPR), headquartered in Tampa, Fla., has announced plans to expand its plastic recycling operations to Bay St. Louis, Miss. The new operation is located in a 30,000-square-foot facility on 33 acres with rail siding inside the Port Bienville Industrial Park.
The new plant handles postindustrial and postcommercial plastics, such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate), HDPE (high-density polyethylene), ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), HIPS (high-impact polystyrene), LDPE (low-density polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), SAN (styrene acrylonitrile) and PC (polycarbonate). Capabilities currently in place include shredding, grinding and screening. The facility also has room for additional equipment and growth, according to the company.
CPR also has facilities in North Carolina, New Jersey and West Virginia.
