Commodities exchange operator CME Group, Chicago, and its CME Globex trading division have announced that effective Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, the COMEX, NYMEX and three other exchanges will close 15 minutes earlier Mondays through Thursdays.
Starting Sept. 21, the closing time for the exchanges will move from 4:15 p.m. Central Time to 4 p.m. to lengthen what CME Globex calls a “daily maintenance period” on those four days.
In addition to COMEX and NYMEX, the other markets affected by the change are the CME Equity, CBOT Equity and DME exchanges.
“All other CME Globex markets trading hours remain unchanged,” CME Globex says in its announcement.
