COM2 Recycling Solutions, an electronics recycling firm headquartered in Carol Stream, Ill., has announced that its Mississauga, Ontario, operation has received the e-Stewards, R2 (Responsible Recycling Practices), ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 certifications.
COM2 says it is the only e-Stewards certified processor in Canada.
“COM2 is committed to sustainable business practices” says Saheem Baloch, COM2 vice president. “This includes being good stewards of the environment and leading by example."
As an e-Stewards and R2 certified electronics recycler, COM2 says it has committed to undergoing an independent audit each year to guarantee it will not export hazardous electronic waste to developing countries, dump such waste into municipal landfills or use prison labor for managing electronics.
