The equipment company Columbus McKinnon Corp., Amherst, N.Y., has renovated its original Columbus McKinnon headquarters in Tonawanda, N.Y., into a training center. Columbus McKinnon says the facility will hold classes for certification and training courses in a variety of formats and will feature a combination of classroom and hands-on learning for users.
The company says the following topics are scheduled to be covered through 2012: hoist maintenance, rigging practices, load securement, safe hoisting, crane and hoist inspection, rigging gear inspection, mobile crane operator, industry regulations and overhead crane operators.
According to the company, expanding the training offering will allow distributors and end users the opportunity to be fully trained and learn in a controlled environment built for comprehensive training.
The training programs are designed to increase workplace productivity while emphasizing ergonomics and worker safety. More information is available at www.cmcodepot.com.
